Our primary goal is the complete and proper recycling of your computers, appliances or material. Our services will allow you to confidently say that you take all necessary steps toward preventing out-of-use electronic equipment from entering the waste stream and damaging the environment.
SW Recycling is based in Willmar, MN. It started as a white goods recycler, and with the ever changing environment we added electronics recycling. SW Recycling is a registered collector and recycler for electronics and a licensed appliance recycler with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MNR000069187).

E-waste is any waste that has a circuit board or a cathode ray tube (CRT). This includes items that businesses and homes use every day, such as computers, televisions and telephones. CRTs and the circuit boards within electronic equipment contain lead at levels that can cause the item to exceed Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) criteria, resulting in a hazardous waste.
CRTs are considered the largest single source of lead in Minnesota's municipal waste, containing 5-8 pounds of lead per unit. Lead makes up approx. 20% of each CRT. The ban will keep toxic lead out of landfills and will increase the amount of materials being recycled.
SW Recycling de-manufactures the electronics and ships to down stream recyclers that process raw materials. No electronics end up in landfills.
